Our School Council is made up of two pupils from each year group starting at year one. Each September all children are given the opportunity to represent their peers in this way. The class votes to decide who stands on the council for that school year.

Meetings are held regularly with Miss Burrows to discuss upcoming events. It is also an opportunity for School Council to suggest things that can be discussed and introduced in our school.

Our 2021/2022 school council raised £150 for a well in a village in Nepal. To raise this money they arranged a Christmas bake off, then a cake sale. Other fundraising activities have included fun days such as crazy hair days, pyjama days and raising money for Children in Need.

They have many plans for the future to raise even more money for our school. School Council feel it is important that everyone’s opinion is heard. They welcome new ideas.

They document all their achievements on a notice board in school.
